The Chikushi Exit is the east side of Hakata Station, closest to the Shinkansen platforms. After stepping off the Shinkansen, head straight to the Chikushi Exit and the Tspot is a few minutes on foot, with no need to line up at a rental desk inside the station building. The area is full of offices and business hotels, which makes it a natural base for setting off on a work morning.
The Chikushi side has a direct line toward Fukuoka Airport: about 10 minutes by car to the domestic terminal via Higashi-hie. Fukuoka IC on the Kyushu Expressway is roughly 20 minutes away, so it also works as a starting point for Kitakyushu, Kurume, or Saga. One or two travelers can take a Compact HV; with equipment or more people, pick Midsize HV or larger.
