Traveling with pets

If a pet will ride with you, add the Pet riding option when you book. Traveling with a pet without this option may be refused.

Fee (excl. tax) — ¥500 per pet per day. The first day (up to 24 hours) is ¥500; time beyond 24 hours is billed at the daily rate divided by 24. Explorer quotes including tax are authoritative.

Eligible pets

Type	Dogs and cats only
Number	Up to 4 pets per vehicle
Size	Must fit in a carrier up to 70cm × 90cm × 75cm. Guide weight: 10kg or less per pet

Bring your own carrier (soft or hard is fine if the pet cannot get out).
Animals other than dogs/cats, or pets larger than the size above, cannot ride.
Assistance dogs (guide, service, hearing) are outside this option—contact us separately.

How and where to ride

Do not let pets roam free in the vehicle. Keep them in a cage or pet bag.
Tcab lends a waterproof pet sheet at the station. Place the cage or pet bag on that sheet.
Put them in the luggage area or rear seats.
Do not open the cage/bag or let the pet sit on a seat while driving.
Compact HV, Midsize HV, and Long HV may be used if the cage or bag fits. Cargo space varies by class.

How the fee is calculated

Unit	Per pet (booking quantity = number of pets)
First day	¥500 excl. tax (up to 24 hours)
After 24 hours	¥500 excl. tax ÷ 24 × extra hours
Example	2 pets × 30 hours → ¥500 × 2 × (1 + 6/24) = ¥1,250 excl. tax

The amount shown in Explorer is final.

Soiling and residual odor

If soiling or residual odor requires repair, deodorizing, or similar work, we charge ¥20,000 excl. tax as the actual cost of that work.
Waste, hair, scratches, and odor are your responsibility. Check the cabin and the waterproof sheet at return.

How to book

Choose dates, station, and vehicle class in Explorer.
Add Pet riding and set the number of pets (1–4).
Review the quote and complete the booking.

Stations are unattended, so you cannot add this option at pickup. Select it when you book.
